A 7.1 channel audio system to connect to a dvd player, is there any accessories to make the sounds more clear?

All you need is a 7.1 soundtrack, a 7.1-compatible receiver/speakers and connectors to bring the sound from one place to another. The connectors will have to be either analog audio RCAs for each channel or else an HDMI cable.A 7.1 channel audio system to connect to a dvd player, is there any accessories to make the sounds more clear?
First make sure you have proper speaker placement. You want the front 3 speakers all facing straight foward on the front wall.

You want the other 4 placed with two to your side and two to your rear.

Now you will want to place the sub near a corner(not in because it will reverb too much.

Now check your speaker settings. All your speakers should be set to small regardless. The subwoofer should handle all the low stuff. Also raise your crossover frequency to 150 if you can. This will allow your speakers to focus on what they do best and leave the sub to deal with what it does best.

Settings and placement are very huge when it comes to sound quality. Also make sure you are using speaker stands and that all your speakers are near ear level in height. Bookshelf speakers shouldn't be on the ground because it ruins the sound. Sanus basic foundations work for most speakers and are easy to put together.

Example if I put my infinity betas on the ground. It sounds muddier and lacks clarity, but on the Sanus stands the speakers shine and sound amazing!

If none of that works. Start looking to upgrade. Start by getting a better center speaker.

Also make sure you are using hdmi. And if you don't have it on your dvd player go get one that does.A 7.1 channel audio system to connect to a dvd player, is there any accessories to make the sounds more clear?
Make sure you are using cables that support 7.1 audio. Other than that, you didn't really give enough info to go on.
